This is a picture of the Petra Monastery in Jordan. The structure was created by carving directly into the rock face. I like this image as the woman in red sets it off and gives the doorway a sense of scale. This is one of the only pictures I have with someone in it. I spent a lot of time in this trip trying to avoid people in my pictures as stock agencies will not accept anything with a recognisable human face unless it is accompanied with a signed release statement from the subject. I used high dynamic range (hdr) processing to get a little bit of extra detail from the image.
